Halloween DUI

Halloween DUI’s

Halloween rivals St. Patrick’s Day and New Years for the busiest night for police officers.  Numerous states including Maryland, Montana, Indiana, California, Colorado and Arizona increase DUI Checkpoints on Halloween to prevent impaired driving.  Due to the large number of children on the streets trick-or-treating, increased patrols and DUI checkpoints are necessary.  As of November 8, 2010 the Arizona Department of Public Safety had not released statistics regarding the number of DUI arrests over the Halloween weekend.
