Denver Bronco’s DUI Dilemma Gets Worse

The Denver Broncos have recently been in the news for multiple DUIs. Director of player personnel Matt Russell, 40, was arrested July 6 for a DUI in Breckenridge. Later it was reported that Tom Heckert, 45, was arrested for a DUI on June 11th, but it had yet to make it to the media.

Just when the Broncos thought it couldn’t get worse, a third Denver Broncos DUI has been discovered. Lineman Quentin Saulsberry was arrested May 19th, 2013 for a DUI. This comes just as the Denver Broncos were trying to recover their public and fan image after the two other DUIs.

Denver Broncos President Joe Ellis had this to say about the string of Bronco’s DUIs, “we’re not perfect. We’ve made our errors. We admit it. You can say we apologized for it but I think an apology rings hollow when you run into the back of a police car or you’re blowing a blood-alcohol level that’s three times the legal limit. I don’t think fans, I don’t think the public, I don’t think anybody wants to hear an apology.”
