Commander of DUI Training Division Charged with DUI

Lieutenant Aaron Brown, from the Maricopa County Police Department, was charged with DUI by his fellow Officers.  Brown was out with his girlfriend at Tailgate Bar and Grill, where later that night, ended up being kicked out. Shortly after, Brown was pulled over.

Officers could smell the alcohol coming from his breath and noticed his eyes were bloodshot. Upon further questioning, Brown admitted to drinking five (5) beers that night. He became very agitated and angry, repeatedly telling Officers that he was Lieutenant and up for a potential promotion. Brown agreed to the Breathalyzer and blew a 0.105 and 0.104, which is above the legal limit of 0.08. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has responded to this incident, stating they do not fire employees after their first DUI offense.
