Arrest Warrant Issued for Former U of A Golf Player

According to Police, on May 25th an arrest warrant was issued for nineteen-year-old (19) Sherlyn Popelka, a Switzerland native and former member of the women’s golf team for University of Arizona.  On May 8th, Ms. Popelka was arrested for DUI after being involved in a motor vehicle accident.  Ms. Popelka, according to Police, failed to appear for Court on May 19th resulting in the arrest warrant.  Ms. Popelka, according to U of A Officials, last competed for the team during a tournament in April but is no longer with the team.
