Arizona Ignition Interlock Device Options
If you get any type of DUI in Arizona (DUI, extreme DUI, super extreme DUI, or aggravated DUI), you are required to have an ignition interlock device on your vehicle for at least six months. You are required to use a certified ignition interlock device installed by a company that is approved by the State of Arizona. You must pay all the fees related to leasing the device, maintaining the device, and removing the device when the court says that you are no longer required to have the device on your vehicle.
None of the companies that rent and maintain ignition interlock devices charge a fee to install the device on your vehicle. There may be additional fees for services such as same-day service appointments and the option of making appointments by phone instead of online. Not every option comes with the ability to know what information is being sent to the Arizona MVD regarding your device. Below is a chart comparing all the current court-approved ignition interlock device options available in Arizona. The cost for six months includes any applicable removal fees.
